Mitsui and the Japanese Red Cross Society & Junior Red Crosscollaboration project

On November 24, 2023, the Mitsui Group 350th Anniversary Project collaborated with the international exchange program conducted by the Japanese Red Cross Society/Youth Red Cross (Youth Red Cross) to hold the "Mitsui Group x Youth Red Cross 'Sasugaku' Session.
While the Mitsui Group, private companies, and Youth Red Cross, which provides humanitarian assistance, are in different positions, they share the same desire to create the future of the earth. Through this collaborative project, we aim to connect widely with many young people in Japan and abroad who share the same vision, and to work together to create the future of the earth.

What is "Mitsui Group x Youth Red Cross 'Sasugaku' Session”?: Sasugaku is an inquiry-based active learning aimed at fostering individuals' sense of responsibility towards the issues affecting the planet, and cultivating their values and abilities to create sustainable futures.
For this session, 8 Mitsui group companies made videos presenting their initiatives to address climate change and promote peace. The objective was to convey insights and messages by business people tackling social issues and to foster the participants’ awareness of the need to change behavior to create sustainable futures.
To begin, the participants watched videos, getting hints of ideas that could be implemented immediately back in their own communities or that could be utilized in the near future. Then, they collaborated as a group to connect their individual ideas to one specific action, ultimately presenting it to the entire group.
